Recently the US Government issues a US F4 Visa Bulletin to let citizens of the United States understand changes that have occurred within the Visa Program. There are many important announcements made in this bulletin and it is important to be aware of them. The biggest announcement made is the US Visa Program will now only issue Visa once to a foreign national who has been approved for that status. This leaves US citizens who have applied for a visa as open-ended consideration for an immigrant visa.
Why is this a change? In part, it is to stem the tide of illegal immigration into the United States by illicit means. Illegal aliens are entering the country by either being given false papers by a foreign national or coming through a legitimate border crossing. Now if a foreign national cannot prove their identity or cannot prove they are a resident of the United States they will not be granted a visa.
There are other reasons why the US authorities feel that a change in the Visa Program is necessary. It is important to point out that the US has one of the highest Visa Approval Rates among all the countries in the world. An estimated 20% of the applicant traffic to the US through our Visa Waivers is from nations that do not have Visa requirements. That percentage would go up significantly if those nations no longer had a Visa requirement.
This means that any foreign national that wishes to come to the United States must first apply for a visa. When a foreign national gets a visa to the United States, they will need to verify their identity and present evidence of their residence to the immigration authorities. For some reason, this has always been a problem for the foreign national population seeking to enter the United States legally. This is because for quite sometime a foreign national could be using a false name to apply for a visa. Using a false name means that the immigrant may have no evidence of their true identity and present an application that could lead to an immigrant being denied entry to the United States.
Over the past several years the US foreign national population has been increasing at an alarming rate. This is leading to an increased amount of crime as well. This is due in part to the fact that more people are trying to cross the border to reach the United States illegally. As a result of this increase in illegal immigration the US government has been struggling to deal with the problem of crime associated with those that are living in the country illegally.
In light of this many US citizens believe that the US Government is not doing enough to address the issue of crime associated with those that illegally enter the United States. Many feel that the US foreign national f4 visa bulletin is not doing enough to keep Americans safe. Many feel that the US foreign national f4 visa bulletin is not doing its job because it does not take criminals into account when processing an immigrant visa request. These immigrants often do not fit into the narrow category of criminals that the US immigration authorities deem as dangerous enough to be deported.
As a result the US foreign national f4 visa bulletin is being called into question on many occasions. The US immigration authorities and the Department of Homeland Security have both responded to the concerns expressed by many citizens. They have determined that while aliens who have committed crimes that are designated as criminal acts will not be immediately removed from the United States. However they have also determined that they should be placed in an appropriate category of immigration risk. That way over time they can be removed if there are truly serious criminal activities that have occurred and the aliens cannot be removed because of a preexisting condition.
The US government has also stated that it will continue to monitor the US immigration system and will make sure that criminals are not allowed to remain in the United States. It has also stated that the US visa bulletin will continue to provide assistance to those who need to adjust from one type of nonimmigrant status to another. This means that if you have been convicted of a crime or are in violation of the law and have been ordered to leave the country you can still apply for a visa. In order to qualify you must be able to provide proof of a serious criminal activity that has occurred.
