Aspire Credit Card is great Credit Card when you have fair to good credit (or better). Their APR is very high (above twenty percent). However if you are looking for a card, recommend getting at least a lowered credit score. This will lower your interest and save you hundreds of dollars a year.
Like most rewards programs, the Aspire Credit Card has a cash back program. For the first year you can get up to a five percent cash back bonus. After the first year, it's up to you to keep the cash back program going or discontinue it. There are no annual fees, as this is considered a zero percent balance transfer.
One of the reasons I prefer this particular Credit Card over other cash back cards is that there are no yearly fees. They also have no membership fees. You can use your card any time you like, but only charge to what you spend. You don't need to pay an annual fee, but there is one other fee that is advertised on their website and it's called a statement credit fee.
They say this fee won't cost you anything, but it is in my opinion, very unnecessary. If they are able to earn 3 percent in cash back program, why would they need to charge a fee? It seems like they are trying to make a profit from a no-interest period, after all they started this with zero percent interest. I believe the explanation here is that people tend to spend more when they earn some free cash back.
If you look into the fine print, you will find that the second year onwards payment of $30 dollars extra is for an extra transaction fee. And the extra monthly fee is supposed to cover the administration costs for the company. Now, even though they are advertising their zero percent APR offer, the fact is that they will charge you a monthly fee to maintain your account. If they do not charge you an annual fee, I am surprised they still advertise that because this seems like a very sketchy move. In my opinion, they could have charged a flat one-time fee as in the beginning and then let you pay the annual fee once you have been billed.
This is actually an excellent benefit for many credit card users. It enables them to build their credit rating whilst enjoying the benefits of earning bonus points on every purchase. I know many first time users of this credit card are not sure how the bonus points work and how they can get them. Well the bonus points are in relation to how much you use your card and how much you spend each month. You get five bonus points for every dollar you use your card to make purchases and no matter how much you spend you receive one reward point.
The bonus points are absolutely fantastic. You earn one point for every dollar you charge to your credit card and three points for each dollar you use your card to make purchases within the Rewards program. In the first three months you get double the points. The beauty of the program is that you do not have to pay any annual fee. If you make your payments on time and maintain your balance then you will be offered an interest-free period after which you will be billed for the amount of interest you owe. In order to qualify for this benefit, you must apply by October 1st of each year.
So, in essence, if you are a customer of Amway Credit One, you may be eligible for a zero percent APR introductory rate until the end of the 1st year onwards. As long as you make your payments on time and maintain an account, you will receive one reward point for every dollar you charge to your credit card. This benefit is available to new customers only. After the 1st year, you will be charged interest on the amount of money you used to repay your balance. Any amounts over this period you will be charged interest. However, if you maintain your account throughout the year, you will continue to enjoy these special benefits and may also be eligible for additional discounts and/or special offers.
