5 Important Life Lessons Visa Bulletin December 5 Taught Us | Visa Bulletin December 5

The United States Visa Bulletin is issued every December, the last month before the Visa Examiners finalizes their reports and assigns the visas for international travel. As per the latest report of the US Department of State, the Visa Bulletin is being out today and provides a regular update on the visa issues, expected for the next few months. In this article, I have discussed with you the key issues that are anticipated in the Visa Bulletin, which you should keep track of to avoid any possible adverse situation when applying for a visa for a specific country or region.

Currently, the US Visa Bulletin has announced the final visa issues for the month of December. However, the list includes twenty-one countries and regions. The top ten countries and regions are Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Jamaica, Malaysia, Morocco, Pakistan, Peru, South Africa, and the United States. The full list of visa issue dates will be published in the next two weeks.

There is a long list of changes and announcements that will take place in the US Visa Bulletin if there are any. For example, the fourth visa issue date that was fixed in October is going to be adjusted, with an emphasis on terrorism risks and economic recession. This is a consequence of the threat perception posed by the recent turmoil in the Middle East and the heightened fears of international terrorists and their use of technology to carry out attacks.

The Secretary of State is very clear about the reasons behind the decision to reduce the number of visa issue dates. She has repeatedly told the American public that visa issues would be reduced as a practical response to the current global economic slowdown. In fact, the current US Visa Bulletin is being outpaced by volumes of requests made by the applicants. Many of these visa request letters include language issues, which are taking up valuable resources that could be allocated to other visa issues.

The US Visa Bulletin does not reflect any automatic reduction in the number of visas. The applicant for a normal visa does not need to rely on a visa issue date that has been determined by the US Department of State. The Secretary is well aware that the normal process takes months and there are many elements that need to be considered before visa applications are approved. Therefore, the reduced visa issue date does not appear to be impacted in the current visa review process.

The original intent of adjusting the Visa Bulletin was to allow the US authorities to better handle the economic situation and to make it easier to grant visas to qualified foreign professionals who intend to work in the United States. The Secretary of State has decided to adjust the Visa Bulletin to reflect the current economic climate. Although the Secretary is well aware of the difficulties associated with the current economic situation, she has nonetheless decided to adjust the visa issue date as a part of a broad effort to improve the processing of foreign visa applications.
