You might not have thought about it, but if you have an outstanding balance on your Chase debit cards, then you might want to consider a Chase credit card instead. The good news is that this is possible, and that you do not need to carry around cash or any type of credit card.
With a Chase credit card, you have the ability to withdraw cash from an ATM anywhere you choose. But you also have the ability to withdraw only $100 from any Chase ATM and only up to $1,500 in non-Chase ATM's. So the difference is really pretty obvious, and is a great benefit. However, if you want to make a purchase with a credit card, the limit is lower as well.
The good thing about this, is that your purchases will be covered by the Chase credit card, so there is no need for you to worry about any sort of credit card that might not cover you when you do spend your money. Also, since the credit limit is very low, this means that you would end up spending less than what you pay every month on your accounts.
Of course, this is not to say that you should use a credit card exclusively. If you plan to carry cash all of the time, then you should consider a Chase credit card, because you will be able to pay off your balance quickly. But if you are only going to carry cash, then you may wish to consider a Chase debit card.
While you might be tempted to sign up for a high limit Chase debit card if you are having a difficult time paying the balance off, since you will probably pay a lower balance, it would probably be a better idea to use a low limit card. Also, as you do pay the balance off, you will be able to deduct more money each month from the credit card as opposed to just the initial amount that you were carrying, which will free up money that you can use to pay down the balance.
It is always best to compare the cards that you are considering with the rewards and offers that are offered. If you can get a good rate on the card that you are considering, and you are looking to pay off your balances quickly, then it may be in your best interest to use this credit card.
